ABOUT MY LOGO

I have had a lifelong fascination with ornamentation and flourishes. I imagine they come from a childhood surrounded by my Norwegian heritage and the “rosemaling” (rose-painting artwork) on many objects in the homes of my grandparents and parents.

When I married I became fascinated with the decorative arts of Indian culture. On a visit to India I stood in front of the Taj Mahal and admired it’s intricate carvings and inlays based on nature. I thought “if I lived then I would have wished this was my job!”

Hence my mark is a combination of those influences and the cultures I love.
